The former student of IPSiR ( B.A, and MA studies), and former phd student at Institute of Applied Social Sciences dr Karolina Całkowska-Krawczyk defended at the University of Warsaw the doctorate thesis prepared in the framework of European Centre for Penological Studies on the origins of modern penology especially in the works of American intellectual Francis Lieber.
